The National Black Police Association has been in existence since 1972. It has chartered organizations in the United Kingdom, Canada and Bermuda. The principal concerns of the National Black Police Association are the promotion of justice, fairness, and effectiveness in law enforcement issues. We monitor and observe the effect of those issues upon the total community.

In keeping with our mission, it is with great pride that the Westchester Chapter of the NBPA supports Nichelle Johnson on her run for the city of Mount Vernon, New York, City Court Judge.

The people of Mount Vernon have benefited from Mrs. Johnson’s dedicated years of service as Deputy Corporation Counsel and 2nd Ass’t Corporation Counsel. As City Court Judge, she will continue to promote positive change based on the transparency of the law that will make the city Mount Vernon a better place to live, work and raise a family.
